NASA International Space Apps Challenge, October 2-4
Now in its 9th year, Space Apps is an international hackathon for coders, scientists, designers, storytellers, makers, builders, technologists, and others in cities around the world, where teams engage with the National Aeronautics and Space Administration’s free and open data to address real-world problems on Earth and in space. This year’s event will be virtual, and the theme is “Take Action” — a critical reminder that you can still make a difference while staying safe at home.

National Day of Civic Hacking, September 12th
Code for America and its Brigade network hosts this annual day of action for civic leaders, public servants, designers, coders, and engaged citizens to tackle some of our toughest challenges, in partnership with local government and community groups. This year’s virtual activities will focus on helping those most in need of social safety net services.

Civic Hacker Summit
The call for speakers is open for the next Civic Hacker Summit! With so much good work progressing in the midst of significant shifts for key aspects of civil society around the globe, there will be much to cover. Sign up here to help us include your work, and pass along the sign-up link to organizations you think the Network should learn about.

Good Tech Fest
In May, Good Tech Fest was held virtually for the first time and engaged over 1,500 people from 42 countries around the world. This year they are also doing deeper dive events on some great topics: “Race, Data, and Justice”, “Data Governance”, “Data Science”, and “Data Collection”.
