Thank you for your interest in joining the One Million Steps January Challenge with the Civic Hacker Network!
Whether your interest is in improving your health and wellness, helping us meet our $10,000 fundraising goal, or just showing solidarity with other Civic Hacker Network Challenge participants, we’re excited you’re here and welcome your support.
Before you proceed to register at millionsteps.com, here are some important notes to help you have a smoother sign-up experience…
1. Participation is FREE, thanks to the generous support of One Million Steps.
After you click to sign up for our campaign on the millionsteps.com website, all you’ll need to do is select the “Personal Registration no pedometer (digital)” package and apply the code CIVICHACKER2022
2. One Million Steps is a UK-based startup, so not everything on the registration page is applicable for non-UK participants.
We are excited to be the first US-based nonprofit using this platform. However, since we are the first, please note that some things you’ll see on the site do not apply to you:
During the registration process, you don’t have to enter your real shipping address since you’re signing up for the digital package. However, you’ll notice that the address fields are required in order to process your registration. Just enter any address to move past this step!
3. What to expect
After you register, you will receive an email from “noreply@millionsteps.com” confirming that you’ve signed up successfully. This email contains important links to all of the information you need to participate fully, including how to get the app to track your progress, and the link to complete your fundraising page. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to reach out to us for support!
You’ll be able to track your steps with Google Fit or Apple Health, add steps manually, or even sync your own devices. The One Million Steps app is is where you can track your progress in the challenge, connect with the other participants, and get amazing content including “Introduction to Mindfulness” (9 audio tracks) and the Fit For 15™ Strength and Conditioning Program (6 Videos).
